Prior to applying for a Webster Groves business license, Energy-PE, LLC caught up on half-a-dozen decades of deferred repairs to the front porch of its office, built in 1885. Designed replicas of the original guard rails (based on 1950s snapshots and mortise holes in the original columns); removed paint and varnish from the original columns, brackets, and headers; replaced missing ceiling boards with original boards found above the two layers of newer soffit; installed handrails in compliance with the current building code.
